We Live Together

We live in the land of bountiful nature
Enjoying the fruits of composite culture
White, black, brown and yellow
Together we make a unique fellow
We also argue and quarrel
Which is a part of human nature.

I get upset when groups fight
With ugly swords of religion
Full of passion but devoid of vision
I wonder
Where is compassion?
Where is the tide of friendly emotion?

When I look at the godly abodes
Temple, Church and Mosque
I wonder why all have six letters!
When I look at the sacred books
Geeta, Bible and Quran
I wonder why all have five letters!

Logic defies and science fails
At this very moment 'unity of faiths' prevails
Let us assimilate this vision
And live together with friendly passion.
