We shall not fall

Trapped in a cage he gasped and pleaded with every stitch he made to put back his bitten out veins.

It was heart rending for him to see that even with stolen wings how vile and disgusting he felt inside.

He wanted to rewind his fall from grace but his lack of empathy sent him falling back to the dirty pavement down below.

It seemed at last that with stolen wings he could never fly and without empathy he could never love himself.

All that was left was to fall and create a splattered picture down below that showed how beautiful he could be.

Because beauty is inside our mind and body.

He just needed to find his canvas to spill it all on.

With shivering hands he held the pen and purged out all the words and images trapped inside his mind to create his caged heart on paper and not in his mind.
