Weary
When the sun comes out
A flower blooms
It opens it’s petals
As it’s pollen flew
New seeds are planted
But none to trust
When it roots to the past
No trust will last
The new seed’s a burden
With no remorse
It becomes poison ivy
And hurts you more like
It acts like pepper vine
To gain your faith
Then turns into a rose
And impales you with thorns
A flower blooms
It opens it’s petals
As it’s pollen flew
New seeds are planted
But none to trust
When it roots to the past
No trust will last
The new seed’s a burden
With no remorse
It becomes poison ivy
And hurts you more like
It acts like pepper vine
To gain your faith
Then turns into a rose
And impales you with thorns
