Wedding Theme

A diamond ring is a common thing
when a man is about to ask
But what I have chose is an all-white rose
in the midst of an all gold flask

There will be a real fine theme of a rainbow stream
A ribbon in the sky
There will be an all blue nest where eagles rest
and where blue jays and sparrows fly

An all-white dove will confess my love
with red cherries from its tree
And if I can spell what the cherries spell

I will propose on that one knee
There will be butter scotch on the wedding knot
as I reveal the golden band
A mothers sigh and the church will cry
when I take my ladies hand
