We’re All Green
We're all green in a dying world going dim. The sun goes down but the lights just fade the night. We never sleep anymore. We don't love anymore. Yet still we move with a mission. The waters rise to beat our egos before we consume it all. Sand falls away from this land and we just fill the ground with bodies. We build more and more nonsense amid the settling dust, we lay fresh grass and wipe our hands clean of the past, as if it's just a page in a history book. A book that no longer exist. Nevertheless, the gears of time will turn, rusting away like the hearts of so many, and the natural world will reconstruct itself once again.
