Wet Foot

By Da Poet    Da Poet

They call him Wet Foot, an unusual American Indian name,
however, Wet Foot wasn’t an American Indian,
this he could not acclaim.

Well, how did he come by such a title rare as it can be,
here within lies the story of the Wet Foot man complete?

Wet Foot used to be Dry Foot, before he walked this lonely trial,
he took out about mid afternoon with the wind beneath his sail.
Just a casual stroll cross country, obstacles were very few,
but water flowed plentifully in this distance within his view.

As he came upon the streaming water, wondering how to avoid it?
He devised a plan so ingeniously to maneuver and detour.
As he gingerly walked at the waters edge he threw caution to the wind,
until he accidentally missed a step, and that’s when one foot slipped in.
