What a Little Paint Can Do

Throw a little paint on the canvass of your life. Throw a little paint on it.
Splash some sound on it. Splash a little song in it.

White and rough
Turn it black or grey
Or flip it up with the colors of everyday. Let those lyrics paint that portrait.

But don't let it stare at you
While it waits
And watches you watching life
Take off without you .

Move, move, move
Carry your fingertips to your brushes. Collect your cans, jars of paint.
Carry your lips to your words. Collect your notes.
Lines of lyrical liberty

And go crazy!
Get your canvass started

Move your body
Hop, hips, twirl, swing, hands shake, and jump
Move like "Where the Wild Things Are."

Oh how happy you have made your silent white canvass
You've given it sprite and it's given you life.

Now get up and go!
