What do you see

When driving down a big city road
what do you see,
Unfamiliar faces and stories untold,
People sleeping under bridges with matted hair,
Waiting to get food so they all can share,
Children starving, parents gone,
When did helping others go from good to wrong,
This world is messed up,
One big corporate ladder,
As I grow older the world grows sadder
Hearts growing colder everyday,
Why must the world be this way,
Lend your hearts and lend your hand,
To those in need and take a stand,
So when driving through a big city,
You wont see people in poverty.
