What I Remember

I remember Sunday dinners
And long evening walks
And holding my kitties,
And writing with chalk.

I remember big airplanes,
And St. Mark's Square,
And tolerating icky day care.

I remember sailing along the ocean shore,
And meeting my best friend,
Who lives next door.

I remember spa days
And sweet perfumes,
And trick or treating,
In my Snow White costume.

I remember skiing down the bunny hills,
And especially failing at soccer drills.

I remember the river,
And making mud pies,
And riding my bike,
And telling little white lies.

I remember family and friends,
With humble smiles,
And to keep these memories,
I wold walk a thousand miles.
