What I’d Do

What I’d do
“Do you love me?” you asked
“Of course I do.” I replied
“How much do you love me?”
Count the grains of sand
The stars in the sky
The times I’ve said “I love you”
The reasons why
Every day you’ve been alive
Hold my hand
I won’t let go
I’ll take your pain
So that you don’t
A knife to my throat
A gun to my head
That’s what I’d do
That’s how much I love you
