What If

What if I gave you my hand, would you guide me to the light;
Been stuck in the dark so long, can't seem to find what's right.
I feed the last man forgiveness, but now I'm full with regret;
Like chocolate I craved that man and I'm stressed smoking cigarettes.
Can you help me kick this habit, will you be my nicorette;
What if I gave you my heart, would you make me regret we ever met.
Kiss away my pain, dig thru my hurt like claw;
Pull off my insecurities and gaze upon my flaws.
Make love to my guards, make me surrender to your love,
Make me trust again, as pure as though a beautiful white dove.
What if I let you in, and I gave you my soul;
Would you promise to love me forever, until the day we grow old.
