What Is a Church to Me?

A building, a temple,
with knowledge in a tree?
No, no, no, no.
What is a church to me?
Outrageous sleepy faces,
a pulpit hellish far
far away from piety?
No, no, no, no.
Please, what is a church to me?
Smiling blankly at your neighbor
with an offering of money?
No, no, no, no.
What is a church to me?
A thankful Sunday
for a life so sweetly lived,
dancing with my honey-
now that is a church to me.
