What is a Name?

What is a name?

To put another through great pain,
To turn away, to hide, in shame.
To steal, from another’s gain,
I assure you, this is not my name.

Never would I steal ones earnings,
That which someone else is yearning.
Would not criticize someone learning,
My name, would be nothing but reassuring.

Don’t hurt someone just for a little fame,
Or tell them what they love is lame.
We’re all different, but also the same,
So don’t ever let that be your name.
