What is Love?

What is love?
They held hands,
Intertwined beneath the fading sun,
Frozen in the midst of each others’ eyes.
It is
“A picture worth a thousand words”

What is love?
The man held onto a copper coin,
Tossing it into the well,
It flickered with faint light,
A symbol of hope fading through darkness.
It is
“A shooting star they wished upon”

What is love?
He held onto the woman as she walked away,
Embracing her,
Caressing her,
Protecting her,
The night never ended for them.
It is
“A moment that lasts forever”
