What is Love
Perhaps we do not love someone forever.
Time changes things and the idea of love leaves us,
not having been sustained, dissolves.
At first without knowing its going or why.
Love is not a habit or a have to.
It must be earned and nourished by each, the two, in continuum.
There is not one side to love, it is a work in progress.
It is how we get over a broken heart.
Love is not a word or obligation.
It is an energy needed more than we realize, food for our soul.
Is it a test, to keep loving on just crumbs?
This does not seem a sound hypothesis.
Love is a gift, not a responsibility.
It is earned by the giving of self.
If one is absent, love becomes heavy and in time is put down.
