What it\'s really like
Imagine looking in a mirror
And not seeing yourself
Instead seeing a black cloud
With chipped and scabbed eyes
And you look at it
And all you can feel is disgust
When you feel the disgust
It bubbles up your throat
And the thing in the mirror
Hollers out a raspy scream
And though you won’t admit it
That thing in the mirror
Is how you really view yourself
And not seeing yourself
Instead seeing a black cloud
With chipped and scabbed eyes
And you look at it
And all you can feel is disgust
When you feel the disgust
It bubbles up your throat
And the thing in the mirror
Hollers out a raspy scream
And though you won’t admit it
That thing in the mirror
Is how you really view yourself

This Poems Story
This is about growing up an overweight person and always being judged by family, friends, and even teachers and strangers. It explains how even though I pretend to have self-confidence I really don\'t.
