What I’ve found

By ru ngu

I’ve found serendipity,
When I laid by his side,
As we talked to the deep of the night,
Escorted by the little reflected lights

I’ve found providence,
When he told me that he loves me,
As we shared our warmth hugging,
Escorted by the blaze of the fireplace

I’ve found portion,
When he asked for my hand,
As we walked down the aisle,
Escorted by the blooming peonies

I’ve found doom,
When he didn’t came back home,
As I waited at the dinner table,
Escorted by the solitary presence of my own

I’ve found kismet,
When I was met with the faint glimmer light,
As I was hanging on my death line,
Escorted by his presence and a voice asking,
“I’m sorry for leaving you too early, love.”
