What Might Have Been

A distant, unreachable place only humans dream of
Where grass grows like guns
Where water sparkles, all sea life visible to the eye
Powerful peaceful beasts gallop on the hills
Huge-winged animals reach to the skies, flying
No human would be there to destroy and wreck
Harmony is not disturbed by the two-leggeds
The sun shines like a diamond, giving life
The moon shines like gold across the night sky
The air is unpolluted and the ground is not cement
The trees aren't stumped, and the trash isn't dumped
Creatures don't wash up dead
Animals don't loose their habitats
Violence does not exist, and terrors are never known
Houses are only made of nature for sheltering animals
All of this, once at our fingertips
Dreams destroyed by the ignorance of people
A place that now only exists in our imagination
Instead, the people will bring extinction for our sins
