What Really Matters?

I have seen the leaves changing colors
And the United States flag
Unfurling in the wind
I have seen a hail blizzard and a snow blizzard
Both cutting visibility to zero
As they busily push cars off the road
I have seen passionate love movies
And gruesome murder mysteries on TV-nightmare material
And I ask:what really matters?
My answer:Jesus! Jesus really matters
The rest is smoke and mirrors
He's off in Heaven getting our mansions ready
While we're choosing to let ourselves
Get choked by the"cares of this life."
May we stand corrected and spend our time
Considering Jesus.
He's the only one who cares.
