What the stars had planned

I sacrificed the stars,
to breathe in a kinder day.
Wanted to retrieve
all that was lost,
before the cosmos had it planned.

Knew not, what I aimed for,
the sky but the beyond.
Befooled, I was cradled,
in a yearn for compassion.
What transpired was deceived
and deceit had its say.

Lost in the travel,
my heart did not belong,
To be drenched, I desired,
but the woods stood alone.

The roads have been wandering,
in the might or the mere.
My hilltops have been lit,
When the clouds were not there.
