What Would You Give?

What would you give to not feel
The bitterness of winter's
Remainder while you are planted
In the scenery of solemn branches
In their nakedness as the temperature
Falls beneath the level of your

Would you give your last tear drop
Or all the pennies that you tossed
In the well of wishing for the loves
That you gained and the ones you
Lost? Would you give your last sense of emotion
When the breeze of cold air hits your face
Like the target of a batter's mark hoping that
Your footsteps in faith will allow the warmth of the
Sand to greet you one day?

Would you give your friend
The proper goodbye when grudges stand
In the way of giving one's apology and a good
Cry? Would you be thankful for the anonymous curve ball
That was meant to send you hanging from a cliff only to
Fall in a supernova because you weren't mixing too well
With their galaxy of friends or said the things they would say?
Would you give your last token in mint condition only to get
It thrown away? What would you give from your heart today?
