What Would You See?

Eyes are windows to the soul.
So if you looked into my eyes,
What would you see?

Would you see the pain,
Or the sadness,
Or the hole in my heart?

Would you see the joy,
Or the excitement,
Or the happiness I sometimes feel?

Would you see the creativity,
Or the intelligence,
Or the beauty within?

If you looked into my eyes,
What would you see?
If I looked into your eyes,
What would I see?

This Poems Story

I am fifteen years old and I am a sophomore in high school. I am the oldest of four children. I wrote this poem while sitting in my family room at home. I have written many other poems, but this is my first first poem published. I am truly excited and honored to see my poem in print. I hope you all enjoy reading my poem just as much as I enjoyed writing it. Blessed be.
