What’s Hope Without Love

Four chairs sat - one by one occupied
The head was Knowledge, then
on the right was Passion
To the left Desire, and on
The end was Hope
Love had not been invited

Dinner served at 9:00,
Red wine to begin
The toast was made in an offer,
A twist of fate
As the glasses were raised,
Dinner was served, Rose soup
sprinkled with crushed candy hearts

Knowledge passed
While Desire could not get enough
Passion savored each spoonful, and
Hope left the room -
The party was a bust

Desire and Knowledge turned
to Passion, and said
"Next time... Love should be here
Then, maybe, Hope would stay".
