What’s Truly Mine

Feeling as if I'm drifting
wandering aimlessly into the future
questions of status I for see
am I enough, am I too much to bare.

never want to be obsessive
love and trust I have found
mistaken offerings and receptions
can be confused for my being

money, fame and recognition
prove to be too important
for the loss of what's truly
could be the end of what's to begin

my priorities are in tact
hoping I have the strength
moving fast in many direction
I'll never give up for fear of fate

listen to my instincts
impress others not as much as myself
a talent I never knew I had
Is all that What's truly Mine!
