When Eyes Alight

My mind unwinds.
The moonlight shines.
I see him out walking.
these eyes alight.

My brain becomes blurred.
I become cursed.
And suddenly I'm not sure
if its just a case of midnight.

I'm not sure where he is going
but I am stricken by curiosity
and I must see
where the trail leads.

Slow burn
of a cigarette.
He is so oblivious.
Another winding turn.
