When I Dream I Dream of Tomorrow

The bluejay hums a solemn tune
beneath the summer's rising moon;
the sandman casts his magic spell,
the little children all sleep well.

The stars sparkle up in the sky,
a healing sight for the tired eye;
the owl knows it's safest at night,
it's uncertainty that causes fright.

Sooner or later, you'll drift in dream,
where everything's real as could seem
and you'll realize when you wake
the day is a dream you must make.
