When I Was on the Earth

When I was on the earth
I heard the din
In New York City restaurants
of people
sharing churning
securely sharing
their experiential niches
It enriched me
the murmur
as much as the ribeye
I had
In different trendy eateries
by myself feeding
on the infinity
of moments
that live
In the center
of life -
rich
rich life
living snapshot:
mortality
banished
to the sidelines by the din,
looking on like me
