…when someone takes your spotlight

My glory
tells a story,
Of a man so sorry
and consumed by his worry
That he could not do
and at most would amount to a two
for no trouble would he brew
and stayed while others grew
But in a moment
reborn into the crucible that was molten
he took action and was beholden
and was due an award through token
Alas, it was lost
To another who skipped the cost
the prize to him it was tossed
the original with flowers and love he was not doused
Left to wallow in his quiet
wanting to throw a riot
telling his story but no one would buy it
ending up in a tale
I was robbed
and remained unloved
a stranger to the mob
so I just silently sob...
