When The Heart Turned Cold

A world where I once belonged,
was a speculation proved wrong.
It felt like a mirror reflecting truth,
And shattered immediately,
revealing a bizarre soothe.

The little fire of hope burning inside of me,
Turned to ashes instantly.
For once as I began assembling the fragments of truth,
Did I soon realize that it hasn’t brought anything to me,
But ruth.

Meticulously as the ashes of hope turned into a
Fire of anger,
Did I silence the loud clangour
In my head.

Tears rolled down my face,
From all the frustration caused by my ignorance.
I was determined to avenge the wrongs done to me,
but just when I remembered that, that wasn’t me.

I helplessly shut the world away from me,
To heal the deep wounds and find the key,
Which once opened the door to the heart in me.
