When You’re Gone

I love you more than anything. that's music to my ears.
our love? tried and true. been together for 40 years.
I feign for your touch cause baby, I been hurting.
kissing all over your body your legs open like curtains.
I swear you take my pain away. your smile reminds me of a place
warm with a cool breeze gently caressing my aging face.
as I grow old you only become more beautiful.
the mother of my kids I swear our bond is so spiritual.
we had to meet in a past life. when you sing it sounds like
a ray of sunshine invading all of my dark nights.
taking away my frost bite. your love warms my entire soul.
gently kissing your forehead as I notice your eyes closed.
here in my arms, I'll love you for an eternity.
just watching you sleep sends chills straight down my vertebrae.
you're an angel sent from God. I thank him for you like every night.
after I thank him I beg him to put you back in my life.
when you're gone
