When You're Gone

Shackled by a superfluous sadness and sorrow
I am afflicted, inflicted by isolation's cruel grip
Drowning in quicksand looking for a way out
Trying to remember your voice to keep me going through the day
Your radiance to help me get through the nights
Waking up in a pool of sweat from the never-ending nightmare
Numbness would be a welcomed gift
I need to find the strength to rise above
No matter how difficult it is I will resonant in your resolve
So that when you're gone I will remember everything in the next life
