When You’re the Feminist

Well when you’re the feminist
Everyone thinks you’re a pessimist
And the rest of it
Just follows on
When you’re the feminist
Everyone seeks a reaction
That I’ll mention the slightest infraction
When you’re the feminist
Your views on society
Or self-piety
Don't even get me started with propriety
You’re under a magnifying glass, yet they call you the spectator
You’re the overdramatic, yet never panic because women do have roles!
And society has holes
But I’m just the feminist,
And you’ll follow with the rest of this
Because we’re all feminists
If a feminist wrestles the restless
And defies the expectations
Through redemption,
then this
Is who we are.
