where have i found myself?

Where have I found myself?
In the darkness of it all again
1,000 years later in a one windowed apartment room
The music is soft and the walls are cigarette stained
Nicotine tinted
Flavorless and sad
Where have I found myself.
On the bottom shelf
3 dollars off
Take one if you need it
Im alright
I taste ok
I wont stain your teeth or make you sick

Where have I found myself
The mountains still wont move
I cant see the birds anymore
The sun is gone
The son is gone
Lost for 100th time in a year

In Kansas a woman cries
Tears and heart ache
In Kansas the weather is cold and my mother wears her jacket

Ive stumbled upon the past
My destiny
The dial that makes my heart tick.
