Where My Heart Should Be

Mama I'm convinced
As far as I can see
Mama, there's a rock
Where my heart should be
Rocks don't feel, they don't do good deeds
So there's a rock
Where my heart should be
Rocks don't feel love, they don't feel sorrow
They don't have dreams, nor have hopes for tomorrow
Rocks don't feel pain, nor anger, nor fatigue
So I'm convinced there's a rock
Where my heart should be
But mama, I feel it pumping
And I continue to breathe
So mama, there's a heart
Where a rock should be
