Where Your Eyes Have Listened

If today's sounds glisten in your eyes,
I hope you never forget the melodies they play.
For you hear them once,
And may never see them again.

If today's sounds are quick on their feet,
May you not turn away with rush.
For you are in no need to be somewhere
More than where you are -
Be presently there and in touch.

If today's sounds cover you in awe,
Look for them wherever you go.
They're there for your eyes only -
Ready for you to hear and know.

If today's sounds don't meet you tomorrow,
I hope you can look back and hear your yesterdays.
Where your eyes have listened
Is what you'll hear ringing -
Today, tomorrow, and on your last day.
