Most of us deal with our pain and stress in a variety of ways.
We turn to many different things and, without realizing it,
They become addictions or habits we cannot explain.
We try to figure out exactly what went wrong;
And sometimes we have no memory of it at all.
We sink down and wonder how we let something take us so far.
We try to find ways to mend the hurt inside.
Some crochet, some jog,
And some watch fish swim back and forth.
I choose to write it down and release the pain I feel.
I choose to let others hear my words and
Hopefully, save them from themselves.
Sometimes, the worst enemy you can have is yourself,
But sometimes you can be your own best friend.
I choose to make myself my best friend.
What about you?
