Whisper in My Ear

I walk alone down this road,
Not knowing where I'm headed.
Why did I even come this way?
I know now I regret it.
From time to time,
I might look around
For someone I might know.
For now I still see no one,
So forward is where I go
Everything around me
Probably came from hell;
It's hot and blurry,
So right now I can't really tell.
Suddenly I hear something,
And I rush to turn around.
But I see no one, nothing,
And gone went the sound.
I stumble upon a fog,
Then something starts to speak to me.
I hear its words, words so sharp and clear;
It speaks,"The road of which you walk upon
Is not the road that is meant to be."
These words are a token,
I absorb what has been spoken.
I change my life's direction-
This is my resurrection.
