Whisper whisper, Nock nock

Whisper whisper said the wind,
Whisper whisper said the wood,
There comes a witch with white feet,
There comes a girl soaked through,
With skeleton bones cold and new,
And death a power in her shaking hand,

Whisper whisper said the wind,
Whisper whisper said the wood,
Do not let her inside,
do not light for her the hearth,
Let her freeze and let her run,
Let the fires of of others go out,

Whisper whisper said the wind,
Whisper whisper said the wood,
lock your doors and windows tight,
Widow girl run in fright!
Stay inside keep your fire high,
And ignore the pounding, screaming of the girl,

Nock nock on the door,
nock nock on the wood,
Please let me in over your threshold,
Came a little girls cry so desperate,
Please! their coming their coming!
Pound pound pound went the sound,

Nock nock on the door,
nock nock on the wood,
Endless ceaseless screaming cry's,
please let me in let me in,
Frantic in her words and their lie,
The widow stomped and pressed closed her ears,

Nock nock on the door,
nock nock on the wood,
Years had passed since the screaming stopped,
The nock was nothing anymore,
what would happen if she hadn't listened,
to the whisper whisper of the wind and wood,
