White Flag

There is a monster inside me,
I am the only one who can see,
Stands in the corner criticizing me,
Saying things that should not be said,
That tend to get into my head,
No glee only fear,
Of tearing my skin apart,
All I want is the pain to end,
But that will only destroy myself,
It has made no way out,
And I am pinned to its sick game,
Suffocating until I am in my grave,
Below a white flag blowing with defeat,
Only then will my monster go,
Flashing a smile with victory,
As he walks up to a girl,
Turning her smile into a frown,
Soon her life will turn against her,
Until she is in the dirt,
Under a white flag,
Next to mine.
