White Out

Soft walls and white coats,
Soft food and stuffed throats.

Routines and daily drills,
Life contained by little pills.

Remain quiet stay sane,
wear white stay plain.

I have come to set you free,
but shh shh they hate me!

Listen close and you’ll hear,
Listen before I disappear!

All these words stuck in your head
All the words that no one said.

Sh sh the whispers are fake,
Stay quiet or your mind will break.

Don’t believe their white lies,
Don’t you dare apologize.

You are not the one to blame
they’re the ones who stole your name.

Lets untie these little white chains,
Lets free the smile it restrains.

There’s only one more thing I ask,
Make your escape, leave the mask.
