Who are you

Who are you?
The one I met on the college campus
The one I went with to late night dances
Who are you?
The one who asked to take my hand in such a small voice, so shy
The one who got closer than any other who tried
Who are you?
The one whose smell I’ll always know
The one whose chest served as my sweetly scented pillow
Who are you?
The one I've seen so many mornings through sleepy eyes
The one I've kissed gently on the forehead to say good night
Who are you?
The one I've told every secret to
The one I've told every dream to
Who are you?
The one who caught me by surprise
The one I never thought could lie
The one who left me saying
Who are you and who the hell was I?
