Who Does She Think She Is?

Who does she think she is?
With Her hair in waves and curls
And her eyes rare black pearls
With skin that makes the galaxies tremble
Her ebony grace makes her haters crumble
She is what so many hate
But what they also envy
For when she succeeds, she is prejudiced against
When she wins, she loses to society
In the good she brings for the world
The world brings the worst to her
The odds aren’t against her
But instead become her life
Hate. Prejudice. Negativity. Injustice. Inequality
All like microorganisms infecting, hijacking
And infesting themselves into the minds of many
Into the law, character, and the values of the people
But she understands
And she is determined to keep pride in who she is
Who does she think she is?
