Who I Really Am

Shatter the glass
Bits of mirror fall to the floor
The reflection of me
Is not one I like to see
Who I have become
Is not who I would like to win
The person inside
Is who I want all to see
Because the person inside
Is the real me
The girl I see is ugly
I know not who she is
Unrecognizable to me
How did I come to this?
I used to be a butterfly
I would spread my beautiful wings
And smile at all things
Now I am a crab
Locked away in her shell
Afraid to show the world
Who I really am
