Who I Used To Be

I want to get back to who I used to be.
Who I was before you ruined me.
You took the life out of my eyes.
Left me with the agony of wanting to die.
I wanted to take my life because of all that you did.
My sadness, fears and anger, all of it had to be hid.
Every day was a slow burning hell.
I was alone with no one listening to how I felt.
Every tear I cried I just wiped away.
I got so good at pretending that I’m ok.
I don’t know how I survived you. But I did.
And I hope every breath I take reminds you.
I will get back to who I used to be.
Who I was before you ruined me.
