Why Can’t They See That My Insides Are Pretty Too?

I know I'm not the prettiest ever,
And not ugly all together.
But when you look at my limbs one by one,
I realize that I'll have to just settle for clever.

Sometimes we look at ourselves, and we see the worst. We want the approval of others to make us feel better at our selves. Usually, that doesn't happen, so we try to see a silver lining in our problems, but looking for that silver lining, isn't needed. We just need to love ourselves.
