Wide Awake

Wide awake in this bed I lay,
Thinking of all the things
That could have taken place.
Listening to the rain on my window pane
Go pitter-patter,
Pitter-patter, all dang day.
I should probably get up,
I should probably go outside.
I should probably do something,
Before I lose my dang mind.
Because life is too short,
And there's too much
To try and sort.
But this is where I stay,
Wide awake in this bed I lay.
