Willamette Valley Welcomes Fall

autumn winds send Maple leaves SWirling
limbs gently sway
helicopter seeds spin ground-ward
looking for germination
rich dark soil waits
slight drizzle falls misty
offering the land cleanliness
wafting scents of fresh green
three soaked deer await a break
standing statuesque under protective branches
Oregon gives way
the summer sun has gone to bed .
