Wingless Weeps

An angel lost her grace
Deep droplets drive to drown her face
Love forgotten, summoned hate
Livid yet, so gone is faith

With tear stained cheeks
Through bloodshot eyes
She hails an Earth too sunk and weak
Not obsolete, but most antique
Thus pending is its fate to die;
Inheritance goes to the meek

A vision many shades of black
Hath submarined her heart
And as wings vanished from her back
Her kindness fell apart

But still she's called upon to save
The fools who have denied her cries
So she's obliged, devoid of grace
With tear stained cheeks
And bloodshot eyes
