winter

The snow glistening on the ground
Christmas around the corner
You snuggle up by the fire
Hot cocoa in hand
Holiday music all around
Through frostbitten ears
Cheer is in the air
Ice on the roads
Mist on your breath
Chilled to the bone
A heavy jacket
Warm shoes
Fuzzy leggings
A beanie on too
Walking through crowded shops
Finding just the right thing for them
They are going to love it
You get home and wrap it all up
Then put on a movie and fall asleep halfway through.
This is winter
