Winter Tree

Anyone can plainly see,
The lonely broken winter tree.
From a seed her life began,
Now her mighty trunk so grand.
The scars of time each year repaired,
By new growth her life is spared.
For the good of all that lives,
Under the canopy of love she gives.
Lovers carve their hearts upon her soul,
Long forgotten love as she grows old.
The scars of time each year repaired,
By new growth her life is spared.
